We were commissioned by property developer BPT to design a letting brochure for a retail development
in Redhill, Surrey.
This project was indicative of our approach to property brochures at the time. During the early phase of a marketing campaign developments are under construction and difficult to visualise convincingly (prior to the advent of sophisticated CGI imagery).
We therefore often shifted focus away from the architecture onto factual narrative, creating a strong graphic language.
The Belfry brochure presents the retail development through a series of large numbers indicating square footage, catchment area etc. Photography by Richard J Burbridge subtly echoes the subject matter of each spread eg: an unfolding seed pod represents units inside the development, cabbage leaf veins echo roads on a map.
