Studio Sergison catalogues
We were commissioned to design a series of publications that record the teaching activities of Studio Sergison at the Accademia di architecture, Universita della Svizzera, Mendrisio, Switzerland.
Each semester the students are set a brief involving the study of specific sites and locations, culminating in the design of building proposals in real situations. These concepts and theoretical studies form a dialogue with a specific area and community and are presented in the form of a publication.
The first of these publications was entitled ‘Urban Picturesque’ which records the background to the brief and the students response to a theoretical project based in Deptford, London. The second publication entitled ‘Schoolness’ focused on the design of a primary school in central London. The series is being continued by the school, following our detailed design template.
